I never knew I was living in fear, until I was paralyzed by it. I never knew how sad I felt, until I was crippled by it. I never knew how lonely I was, until I’d cry on the floor of my bathroom until my stomach ached. I never knew how much love I craved, until I realized the limitless love I gave. I never knew the depth of my darkness, until I saw a glimmer of light. It was in this contrast, the darkness and the light, that I chose to follow the light.
I do not know what made me follow it. I only knew she led the way. The light seemed like a pixie, a beautiful little fairy. She’d flutter her sparkling wings this way and that, winking with a smile as I’d try to keep up. She’d give me quiet nudges. She encouraged me on. She’d whisper “wake up,” “try this” or “yes, do that”, and sometimes she’d simply state “go for a run”. There were times when I missed her. I just couldn’t hear her. She’d disappear, and so would her light.
She’d always come back though. Through the years she’d pop in and say “stick with that girl, she’s a good friend,” or she’d dance right above prince charming’s head, she’d smile at my babies and light up their eyes, she’d sit on my shoulder when I needed a good cry. She’s journeyed with me all through my life. She’s the one I’d look for when I needed good advice. Who is she, you may wonder. I asked the same thing. Turns out, that glittering fairy is the light within me.
Who am I? I am the darkness and the light. The moon and the sun. The joy and the sadness that lives within everyone. You will journey with me through this story of my life. You will be drawn to follow that beautiful light. To learn of a life where you and I unite. You will travel some distance through heartache and pain, to a place that is new, magical, blissful, abundant and pure. It’s a world full of wonder and possibility, inspired by hope and surrounded by love. Come take this journey with me – it’s a quest, really, to discover love. A love so powerful, there is an absence of fear. A divine love that radiates through your entire being. A love that reminds you - who you are - in your heart.
